Friday 14th June – Sunday 16th June
All adults staying overnight will need a DBS Check done by the Scout Association (Rugby / school / church etc dont count unfortunately) so please let us know early so that we can get that done in plenty of time. Just ask in a parents group and we can get this sorted
We are trying a new way of managing payments for this camp … using our online shop to manage payments. The costs are to cover the site costs as well as food and consumables.
Everyone will need a Day Visitor’s ticket at £15
if you only want to camp one night, then buy a Day Visitors ticket and add a night at £10
You can also add a ticket to the Saturday night event of you like (at £10) and enjoy a Hogroast and karaoke with us.
Please note that this is not a YP only weekend. It is a family camp and so no unaccomanied children. Our leaders will be helping run activities and also enjoying the weekend with their families.
Tents (we have tents you can borrow if you like. they are not huge though !)
Sleeping bags etc
Comfy Camping chairs (very important 🙂 )
clothes, towells etc
Sunscreen etc
This is our Activity based risk assessment for the Family camp as well as our District water activities day (as they are very similar)

Well with Sunrise on Saturday being at 4:44am ? Activities will probably start around then, but in terms of our water activities, Aim to get to Paxmead at about 8:30 for a briefing and activities starting around 9am

Will most of the kids be sleeping in the dorm inside or with their parents in tents?
With parents. This is a family camp, so families camp together … That’s not to say that you all need to be crammed inside one tent. if you need a tent, just ask and we can lend you one!
